Abstract

This project aims to promote science outreach through the dissemination of the scientific research conducted by the International Centre for Theoretical Physics - South American Institute for Fundamental Research (ICTP-SAIFR) and the Institute of Theoretical Physics of the São Paulo State University (IFT-UNESP), in order to contribute to enhance the public knowledge on Theoretical Physics and stimulate the audience to learn more about this field of knowledge. For this purpose, science outreach activities about different areas of Physics will be conducted based on interviews with researches and post-graduate students from the IFT-UNESP and ICTP-SAIFR; on the production and organization of a novel interactive event with the participation of invited researchers; on the production of special editions of the project Multimedia Outreach; as well as the production of videos about the several topics related to Theoretical Physics addressed in the science outreach activities and events conducted by the ICTP-SAIFR (such as seminars, schools, mini-courses, and workshops). Also, a teaching material about recent findings in the field of Theoretical Physics produced by the Perimeter Institute will be translated into Portuguese to be applied in training workshops oriented to high school teachers. The material produced within the science outreach activities and events promoted by the ICTP-SAIFR will be disseminated to the society in an accessible way, by making use of multimedia resources (such as audios, videos, photos, infographics, and podcasts), and published on different communication vehicles, such as the Journal of UNESP, the ICTP-SAIFR's outreach website, as well as digital platforms and social media as the YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
