Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted relations in society, as well as the organizations that operate on it. In this scenario of uncertainties and insecurities, actions such as social isolation were presented in order to contain the spread of the virus. Thus, measures such as home office were taken. In this context, it is important to reflect on the impacts of the home office in the organizational culture, as well as to analyze the role of communicative processes of and in the organizations in this process. Then, the present project has the main objective to understand how organizational communication can contribute in the construction of meanings of organizational culture based on relationships mediated by technology in the home office. For that, this research project of qualitative character and exploratory approach adopts as methodology: a) bibliographic research on organizational communication from the perspective of the relational paradigm, communication with employees, organizational culture and impacts of remote work on contemporary organizations and b) field research, through individual interviews with communication managers of medium and large organizations, and the application of questionnaires with workers who worked in an emergency home office model. The data obtained will be analyzed based on the Content Analysis. (AU)
