Abstract

The objective of the activities is the development and formulation of a cementitious hydraulic matrix with a chemical composition free of clinker and several aggregates incorporated together with discrete and discontinuous microscopic and nanoscopic fibers. The innovation in this work follows four principles: 1- fully reinforce composites with lignocellulosic fibers of plant origin due to their physical-chemical characteristics, which allows enormous economic advantages in relation to other types of mineral or synthetic fibers; 2- obtain the cement matrix from hydraulic compounds of MgO and MgSO4, drastically reducing the energy required to obtain the compound binder, in addition to avoiding the alkaline degradation of lignocellulosic fibers; 3- enable the formulation of a resistant inorganic matrix capable of withstanding large mechanical loads. Perform the study of the matrix interface and the natural fibers, promoting the understanding of the chemical reactions that occur in the transition zone and improving the mechanical properties of the produced composite; 4- carry out the study of accelerated aging and thermal conductivity of composites and changes with the addition of different fractions of natural fibers in order to study the behavior of composites with matrices of MgO and MgSO4, in addition to researching the efficiency of lignocellulosic fibers under the effects of bad weather.
