Teaching conflict management to graduates of nursing with the use of realistic simulation

Abstract

Human relationships are subject to conflict. In the professional practice environment from the nurse, this is no different. Conflicting situations can generate effects negative, such as low self-esteem, provision of deficient care, in addition to the damage to the institution's reputation. It is necessary for the nurse to be prepared to deal with conflict situations, as this competence is expected in the professional environment. So, it would be interesting that during graduation the students were subjected to realistic simulation, providing an environmentally safe, and closer to reality, making learning meaningful and permanent. The objective of this research is to build and validate a scenario of realistic simulation aimed at teaching conflict management for undergraduate nursing students. This is a methodological study, in which initially a simulation scenario was built from the experience of the researchers. Later, we will carry out an analysis by experts in the field, which will be asked to assess the scenario. For the selection of these experts, an adaptation of Fehring's proposal, valuing academic training, in scores. For the validation of the scenario, the Likert scale will be used, contemplating from "strongly agree" to "strongly disagree", in scores from one to five, respectively, using the Delphi technique. The collected data will be analyzed in the light of descriptive statistics, and Content Validity Index (CVI), considering the CVI greater than or equal to 80%. (AU)
