Abstract

This research project aims to study the nanoionomic profile, via ICP-MS or LA-ICP-MS, with a focus on soil, roots, stems, and leaves, in order to evaluate the nutritional value and possible homeostasis of metallic ions in different compartments, as well as to detail in which compartments metal predominates in soybeans. The studies are of great relevance since the nanoionomic profiles will be compared after growth in a controlled environment, conditioned to the cultivation with Si-nanoparticles bound to metal and metal salts. Seeds will be planted and grown in BOD (culture chamber), where temperature, humidity, and illumination will be controlled according to previous work by the GEPAM group. The silicon nanoparticles (Si) used in all plantations will be produced by the group of Professor Ítalo O. Mazali (Department of Inorganic Chemistry, Institute of Chemistry, UNICAMP). (AU)
