Abstract

Between the 1940s and the 70s, it was possible to find several women in key positions concerning the development of digital technology, especially working as programmers. However, from the 1980s onwards, it is observable a global and systematic absence of women from the Technology and Computing areas, an issue that has become a focal discussion point on the 2030 Agenda and even one of the 17 SDGs - Sustainable Development Goal. This project proposes to make a survey and mapping of the first women programmers of the 20th century, aiming to identify them, presenting this information in the form of a Digital Atlas, as well as, throughout the research, reflect on the historical contexts that somehow favored women's disengagement with the areas of Technology and Computing.(AU)
