Abstract

The purpose of the present study will be to evaluate the biological and morphological effects in fibroblasts of different surfaces under the influence of tamoxifen or not. Disks with different surfaces will be produced, the Titanium niobium nitride (TiNbN) will be deposited by a Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) technique creating a thin ceramic coating with better biocompatibility characteristics. Fibroblasts will be cultured in flasks of 75 cm2 in culture medium Dulbecco's Modified Eagle´s Medium and then the cells will be seeded on the coated face of the discs with a density about of 15.000 cells/Àr^2. Cells will be cultured on discs in incubation at 37° and 5% C02 to allow initial adhesion and proliferation and to perform the following tests: Viability; adhesion, spreading and proliferation; collagen synthesis; cellular migration, ALP activity and the mineralized matrix deposition. The semi-quantitative data will be submitted to parametric or non-parametric statistical analysis with significance level of 5%. (AU)
