Abstract

The objective of this project will be to understand the training for social control in the teaching of undergraduate Physical Therapy in Public Higher Education Institutions in the State of São Paulo through the analysis of results triangulation of interviews and pedagogical projects. The six Public Institutions of Higher Education (HEI) in Physiotherapy in the State of São Paulo will be part of the study. The study will be developed through a qualitative approach based on the triangulation of methods, using document analysis methods and semi-structured interviews. Data for document analysis will be collected from the pedagogical projects of the courses to identify the planned training on social control thematic and the HEI teachers will respond to an interview script regarding: the importance of training for social control for the physical therapist, positive and negative experiences in the teaching process, gaps for observed training and how to improve the training of physical therapists for social control. Data will be analyzed through thematic-category content analysis. We expected that this study will contribute to strengthening academic training for social control, as well as favoring the change in the Unified Health System care model through human resources capable of participatory and mobilizing management in society.(AU)
