Abstract

The ARQUIGRAFIA social network brings together digitized images from institutional photography collections, slides and negatives from the Iconographic Materials Section of the Technical Service of the Library of the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the USP, of the Laboratory QUAPÁ and the collection of the Museu Republicano Convention of Itu, which are indexed from the use of the Controlled Vocabulary of the Library System of the University of São Paulo. As a digital repository of architecture images in a collaborative web, ARQUIGRAFIA allows its users to enter and tag images in their collections individuals, in natural language (LN) for the retrieval of iconographic information performing thus, a social indexation. This project proposes to collect and define the tags used in the social indexing of images on the ARQUIGRAFIA platform, to support the construction of a Knowledge Organization System (SOC), for the representation and retrieval of images in addition to enabling future interoperability with other SOCs in the domain of Architecture and Urbanism.
