Abstract

The mediatization of society presupposes a change in the logic of social processes, political and cultural for a new structure that is organized from the media processes. The specific understanding of the media, their practices and configurations in the contextsmediated are of great interest to research in Communication. The understanding of a"mediatized activism" presupposes a fundamental difference in relation to the study of "mediaand activism": the media here is not seen as a tool or instrument, but as aarticulation, relationship and confluence of elements that mix and direct. Forunderstanding and characterization of mediatized activism, we resort to the study of activismsrelated to the migratory conflict in Portugal, a country that suffers from the growth ofintolerance and cases of violence against immigrants. Through field research ofEthnographic nature, with the use of In-Depth Interviews and Content Analysisin the production of social media content at Casa do Brasil de Lisboa, an organization ofimmigrants and Youth from the far-right Enough! party, we aim to map thesensitive strategies and the way activist groups act from the perspective of societiesmediated. As a result, it is expected to weave a profile of the performance of groups and offersubsidies for the debate about Mediatization Theories.
