Abstract

The mediatization of society presupposes a change in the logic of social processes, political and cultural for a new structure that is organized from the media processes. The specific understanding of the media, their practices and configurations in the contexts mediated are of great interest to research in Communication. The understanding of a "mediatized activism" presupposes a fundamental difference in relation to the study of "media and activism": the media here is not seen as a tool or instrument, but as an articulation, relationship and confluence of elements that mix and direct. For understanding and characterization of mediatized activism, we resort to the study of activisms related to the migratory conflict in Portugal, a country that suffers from the growth of intolerance and cases of violence against immigrants. Through field research of Ethnographic nature, with the use of In-Depth Interviews and Content Analysis in the production of social media content at Casa do Brazil de Lisboa, an organization of immigrants and Youth from the far-right Enough! party, we aim to map the sensitive strategies and the way activist groups act from the perspective of societies mediated. As a result, it is expected to weave a profile of the performance of groups and offer subsidies for the debate about Mediatization Theories. (AU)
