Abstract In this project, we will study the worldsheet action of string theory on parallel plane, or ``pp'' waves, obtained in a certain limit of gravitational spaces used for the AdS/CFT correspondence, and show that by discretization, we obtain a quantum mechanical action that is obtained in the context of the Heisenberg spin chain for spins in a condensed matter system. We will also consider the case of Hamiltonians that are functions of the previous one, obtained in a certain case of deformation ($T\bar T$). | |
