Abstract

This undergrad student research (IC) plan is part of the FAPESP thematic project "Vulnerabilities of young people to STI/HIV and dating violence: evaluating a psychosocial intervention based on human rights (FAPESP 2017/25950-2)", modified by the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic. The study ethnographic study aims to understand how adolescent boys whose social identity escapes the traditional normativity for gender and presumed sexuality evaluate their reception in the Primary Health Care equipment of reference to the schools of the Heliópolis slum. This study will participate in the ethnographic observation of the research unit dynamic and will conduct the interviews focusing the individual experiences of the boys. Based on Parker and Aggleton's concepts of stigma and discrimination and on Ayres' notion of comprehensive care and the SUS principle of integrality, this study aims to discuss how the demands of adolescents identified as LGBTQIA+ are met, based on the ethnographic observation, as well as on the individual experience of the boys interviewed.
