Abstract

The hydrolysis process of natural residues, using enzymes, is carried out by industries to degrade the biomass. Cellulose is an extremely important component and is present in high amounts in various natural residues, in addition to being hydrolyzed to obtain glucose, generating products of interest. Thus, cellulolytic enzymes become interesting for application in agro-industries, pharmaceutical, and food industries since they can degrade the cellulose of these residues. Nowadays, some microorganisms are used to obtain cellulolytic enzymes, such as Aspergillus niger and Trichoderma reesei, however, it is interesting to study new microorganism that can produce these biomolecules to improve the process and the products that will be obtained. Thus, knowing the variety of microorganisms and the little exploration of fungi in the marine environment, this project seeks to use the fungus Hypocrea lixii for study, analyzing its behavior in solid-state fermentation aiming at higher production of cellulolytic enzymes. For this, different substrates will be used to verify the best growth condition, in addition to performing the enzyme dosage for analysis of the results.
