Abstract

The project seeks to investigate how popular mass demonstrations were presented by the CJI in the last government of Getúlio Vargas. More precisely, the situations of rallies, marches, tributes and other public events in which the newsreel seeks to represent the popular masses will be privileged in the research, emphasizing cinematographic elements (framing, montage, sound, etc.) in the construction of this representation.
