This Project seeks to analyze the intellectual trajectory of the Mexican writer and journalist Elena Garro by means of her relationships and networks. From the perspective of an Intellectual History, the research intends to comprehend how the various journeys and connections she made between 1937 (when she was introduced to the intellectual world) and 1989 (moment of reduction on her writing activity) constituted her thought and production. The main hypothesis is that, from multiple contributions (studies, interviews and especially correspondence with other scholars), the literate elaborated original interpretations of Latin-American reality during the 20th century. By not joining one single intellectual group, Garro made a complex and autonomous production, posing political and cultural debates with a different perspective of hegemonic groups on her time. Thereby, the intention of this work is to deepen studies about Elena Garro, examining letters, personal journals, reading notebooks, interviews, non-published texts, fetching to understand how fundamental subjects of her work (as democracy, legality, civil and social rights, the role of intellectuality) were engendered throught her life and journeys on many countries, where she met distinct intellectuals and work on numberless diaries.
