Abstract

The focus of the work plan lies on the analysis of spatial practices to understand socio-spatial fragmentation as the process that encompasses, in the current period, multiple forms of differentiation and inequality that, in the city, as a condition and expression of several processes, manifest themselves. become progressively more complex.Such fragmentation can be understood as a process that originates in the action of city dwellers with higher incomes, whether as consumers of new products on the real estate market, or as city dwellers, guiding their daily spatial practices at work, consumption and leisure. However, it is experienced and reproduced by segments with lower purchasing power, mostly inhabitants of the urban periphery. Looking at the city from the point of view of these citizens is one of the central objectives of the work plan to be developed. (AU)
