Abstract

The Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) has a large amount of ongoing scientific production, especially regarding the investigations of urban areas and their socio-environmental discussions (under the responsibility of Prof. Dr. Sidney Piochi Bernardini and by Prof. Dr. Gisela Leonelli) and healthy cities as part of urban planning (studies carried out by Prof. Dr. Ana Sperandio). Even investigating matters and objects of paramount importance to society, such scientific productions do not find the deserved publicity in the press. Therefore, this project seeks both to fill this void and to bring to light these important researches and provide society with better and easier access to academic everyday life.Here, the objective will be to disseminate and debate the research carried out by the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at Unicamp and its laboratories, as well as by its study groups, not limited only to results or aftermaths, but mainly to produce journalistic articles about the scientific process of conducted studies and demystify the false immediacy that today takes over the main products of scientific dissemination in the press. The publication of the intermediate part between the ends of the scientific process is also necessary, mainly for studies that are so important for the well-being of the population, as is the case of the research that is intended to be disclosed here.Dissemination work will be carried out through articles, news and reports (and other media formats, if necessary) published in the scientific journalism magazine ComCiência and other partner vehicles or the press in general.
