Abstract

In this research project it is understood that the countless forms of violence towards black women present themselves as a historical problem that has been perpetuated through actions caused by the State or civil society. Moreover, historically black women have their maternity denied by several reasons, mainly because of racism, and it has a huge impact on their subjectivities. Often, It'sthe State who decides who's capable of being a mother and where the children of the said womenwould go when, in practice, its job is to guarantee the basic rights of those women and kids: living, health and family life. In this sense, this project intends to understand how scientific literature has understood the motherhood of homeless black women. Therefore, the integrative review method is used to synthesize, systematize and critically analyze the articles published in the last fiftteen years that approached about the motherhood of black women living on the streets. In conclusion, this review aims to expand the panorama for future researchers interested in this theme, in addition to highlighting a context neglected by the State and civil society, making it possible to revive discussions on possible public policy strategies for this population.
