Abstract

The present project aims to investigate, in the emergence of authorial solos in contemporary São Paulo theater, which creation procedures have been developed based on the new divisions of functions between the artists involved in this type of process. In the scenic format of an authorial solo, since this implies a high degree of authorship and personal investment in the scene, an artist accumulates the functions considered core to the creative process (acting, dramaturgy and direction) requiring the participation of guides-provocateurs that assist in creation in order to meet some demands related to functions that were incorporated (such as dramaturgy and direction). Having dedicated myself to performing this role in recent years, in this project I intend to contextualize this practice within São Paulo theater, identify procedures and concepts common to an authorial creation process and systematize devices that assist in this process. In this sense, the research analyzes how the process of creating authorial solos approaches and distances itself from other creative processes, with emphasis on collaborative processes developed within the scope of group theater, and questions the historical place of these authorial processes in the production system. contemporary São Paulo theater. In doing so, we seek to understand how these works relate to the cultural context and the characteristics of the scene of our time and our city. (AU)
