Abstract

This scientific initiation project aims to understand, in an exploratory way, and through the students' vision, the repercussions of their participation in the Programa Institucional de Bolsa de Iniciação Científica para Ensino Médio (PIBIC-EM) on academic life at Unicamp, or that is, to examine how this experience influenced the entry and retention of former scholarship holders at the university. This research can be categorized as a case study and is intended to use interviews and document analysis to evaluate the hypothesis that PIBIC-EM opens doors to Higher Education, in addition to also boosting students into the field of academic research.
