Abstract

In Brazil, the movement for the right to dignified menstruation has experienced ups and downs in recent years. More than just distributing sanitary pads, menstrual health involves combating markers of inequality such as patriarchy, capitalism, and racism. Thus, the main hypothesis of this project is that school adolescents form a community capable of providing elements for the co-construction of effective menstrual health. More than the distribution of sanitary pads, the literature shows that it is necessary to jointly construct a menstrual health program involving various social actors. Therefore, this project aims to promote menstrual health actions among school adolescents from the perspective of community empowerment. To this end, menstrual health promotion actions will be developed and validated among school adolescents.
