Abstract

The objective of this work is to understand how a public action by a digital collective on urban mobility impacts the subjectivation of the individuals participating in it in the city of São Carlos. The current scenario of urban mobility in São Carlos is presented as scarce and insufficient to meet the municipality's demands. In this context, a digital collective spontaneously emerged, organized through a WhatsApp group called "Rapaziada do 53," formed by students aiming to reduce the challenges of urban mobility. This collective represents a form of public action, one of the three theoretical-conceptual bases of this study. The concept of public action refers to actions taken by the public and for the public, in the absence of satisfactory state practices. Another basis of this study is how the modes of subjectivation occur in collective processes: subjectivity here is supported by a psychosocial perspective of the term, analyzing how the adversities faced by individuals are part of the formation of the "self." Finally, discursive practices will be a focus, based on the view of language as a social practice that changes the functioning of the world. Regarding the method, the instruments will initially be tested on a small sample of individuals whose data will not be included in the analysis. The participants of this study will be recruited directly from the WhatsApp group and will initially be invited for an individual semi-structured interview. A thematic analysis will be conducted based on the content of these interviews to code the main discursive practices of this collective. Subsequently, these same participants will be invited to a discussion group with the aim of discussing the modes of subjectivation within this group. Finally, an analysis of this discussion group will be developed through a dialogical map.
