Abstract

The present journalistic research proposal aims to develop scientific communication initiatives based on the work carried out at the Multidisciplinary Center for the Development of Assistive Technologies (CMDTA), located at the School of Sciences at São Paulo State University (Unesp). With the intention of democratizing access to scientific knowledge and including citizens in the debate on specialized topics (BUENO, 2010), we propose the creation of multimedia content for publication on digital communication channels and media outlets. The production process will follow journalistic methods and standards, covering not only the results obtained by the CMDTA but also the processes involved in the development of scientific research, while prioritizing the use of accessible and inclusive communication techniques.
