Abstract

The relationship between memory and history has been enough studied in the last decades. In that sense, the memory is assuming a structural paper at the present time in the debate historiography. The influence of Nietzsche in the theory of the history and in the contemporary historiography it is undeniable, therefore, a conceptual study regarding your ideas with relationship to the memory and the history can be an important contribution in the reflections on the student's theoretical studies graduating in History. When we take contact with that author's first works we noticed the youth concerned Nietzsche, especially, with the form as the schools of your time used the memory, so much in the teachers' formation as in the students' formation. For him, there was a hiper-valorization of the memory for the Institutions and especially for the schools. With your inopportune style, Nietzsche leaves us at perplexed least with the way for which treats the relationship between the memory and the history, especially in the second Consideration Extemporânea, "Of the Usefulness and of the Inconveniences of the History for the Life", of 1874. In the work in subject, Nietzsche will value the principal aspects of the forgetfulness and your importance, as well as questioning the excess of memory, of "historical" culture and your negative consequences for the man. In that sense, the project here proposed will have as general objective to research the relationship between memory and History for Nietzsche in the second Consideration Extemporânea and as specific objective, to try to detach the points in common of that work with other writings of the period, mainly with relationship to the paper of the memory in the individual's cultural and intellectual formation.
