Abstract

Cancer is perceived by people as a serious illness. It is constantly associated with death and suffering. This affects the look of the patient, family members, health professionals and the society on the development of the disease. they form the idea of the impossibility of recovery and the appropriation of negative feelings. The current study aims to describe and compare the concepts of university students from Health and Education areas about cancer. Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Pedagogy students are going to participate in this study. These students belong to the first and fourth years, both sexes, with a total of approximately 180 students. The data will be collected through open and closed questionnaire, whose implementation is going to be collectively done. The data will be analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively.
