Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the hybrid layer and the resin tags formations in the bovine roots teeth after the endodontic treatment and lutting of carbon fiber posts (Æstheti-Post - Bisco, Inc. - Schaumburg-Illinois. USA). It will be employed a dual adhesive (All Bond® 2 - Bisco, Inc. - Schaumburg-Illinois. USA), a lightcuring adhesive (One Step. - Bisco, Inc. - Schaumburg-Illinois. USA) and a resinous cement (Duolink - Bisco, Inc. - Schaumburg-Illinois. USA). It will be used 40 bovine roots teeth with channels radiculars of smaller diameter root canal intra-radicular preparation without causing an excessive enlargement that would harm the retention of the post. The root canals of 40 bovine teeth will be endodontically treated, the crown portion will be sealed and they will be stored for 7 days. After this period 10 mm of the root cannal obturation will be removed, and carbon fiber posts will be lutted according to the following groups: GI 1. dry dentin + dual adhesive; GI 2. dry dentin + photoactivated adhesive system; GII 1. humid dentin + dual adhesive and GII 2. humid dentin + photoactivated adhesive system. After acid conditioning of the dentin using acid phosphoric, the adhesive system was applied according to each group and carbon fiber posts lutted in the root cannal using the cement (Duolink - Bisco, Inc. - Schaumburg-Illinois. USA). After 7 days, the roots will positioned in an universal machine (EMIC) and the posts will be submitted to a tensile strength. Afterwards, the teeth will be decalcified and included in paraffin. The root will be randomly sectioned transversally, with 6 µm of thickness, mounted in glass and stained using the Brown & Brenn method (BROWN; BRENN, 1931). The sections will be analysed in optic microscopy under polarized light, and the hybrid layer and resin tags formed inside the root cannal will be evaluated using a micrometric ocular 40/075. The results were submitted to analysis of variance at the 5% level. Whenever there was significance, the Tukey test was applied at the 5% level.
