Abstract

An experiment will be lead in the dependences of the FEPE da FEIS – UNESP - Ilha Solteira, Department of Biology and Zootecny with the objective of evaluate the effects of the inclusion of the cottonseed meal in diets for swine in the phases of growth (30 the 60 kg of body weight) and termination (60 the 90 kg of body weight), with formulated diets in accordance with the minimum digestible amino acid and total amino acid recommendations. 48 swine will be used (24 males and 24 females), resultant of the crossing between Duroc x Moura, distributed in a randomized block design, using a factorial arrangement 3x2, with 4 replicates and 2 animals for treatment. The experimental unit (UE) will be formed by bay contends two animals, being a male and a female, and for the formation of the blocks the initial weights will be considered. The treatments will be constituted by the combination of three levels of inclusion of the cottonseed meal (0%, 10% and 20%) and two amino acid recommendations (total amino acids and digestible amino acids) preconized by Rostagno et al (2005). In each experimental phase will be evaluated the performance parameters (feed intake, weight gain and feed conversion) and in the end of each phase and of the total period will be carried an economic analysis for evaluation of the data of average cost of the ration cost/kg of alive weight. During all the experimental period, one time per week excretes will be quantified through weightings of the total volume obtained in each experimental unit and will be removed samples to quantify nitrogen, phosphorus and dry matter. Collected data will be submitted at analysis of variance and the means compared by the Tukey’s test (p< 0,05).
