Abstract

The project intends to analyze the Pliny's documentation under the existence of a political connotation, so that one can understand the constitution of the ideal and of the practice Roman politics in the Principality starting from the documentation. The reading of the documentation defines the possibility of the research and of its object that is to understand the political practices in the Roman Principality, specifically in the second half of the 1st century, and, mainly, in Rome. Starting from the identification of the political practices, to try to define inherent Roman concepts the this practice as the applied political terms to the Roman clientelism could mention some preliminaries as the fides, the virtus, the amicitia, the philanthropy and the evergetism.
