Abstract

Memory is the ability of develop, stock, recover and utilize the information. The development of this ability in the childhood is parallel to the one cognitive general development and intervene, as the attention, in all cognitive activities. When we evaluate, for example, the language of a child, the short memory act inevitability. The memory can be differentiate in three levels, one of these the short memory, that correspond to any time of some seconds until some minutes. In it include the work memory, that permits treat temporarily, all new information implied in process as the comprehension, the learning and the reasoning. The abilities of work memory phonologic normally are evaluate using the repetition of numbers sequences and non-word (invented words). In a clinic context, there are several works pointing the relationship between language difficulties and deficit in the phonologic memory. Considering studies that confirmed the relationship between phonologic memory and language acquisition, in special comprehension of sentences and lexical acquisition, the main objective is obtain the profile of performance of children with typical development of language in work memory phonologic test. Will be select 200 chaps with typical development of language, with age between 7 years old and 8 years old and 11 months, of both genders. The children will be selected in Elementary Schools, have as issues of incusing don’t present historical of oral language alteration and listening, and compatible development with the chronological age in phonology test and in reading test. The select children will be submitted to work memory phonological tests (non-word and digits). The results will be submitted to that descriptive statistics analysis, with values of average, standard deviation, minimum-maximum values and medium. (AU)
