Abstract

Leaf-cutting ants are considered plagues and they yield serious problems to agriculture. Nowadays, study has been done to use natural products from plants as an alternative method to control these insects, in order to cause low impact to the environments than the synthetics insecticides. The synthesis do organic compounds complexed to metals have yielded products with higher activity and probably this facilitate the complex to reach the active action center. Whoever, synthesis of the natural products (ricinin, catechin and rauianin) complex of the type cis-[M(bpy-X)2(Cl2)] where M = Co(II/III), Cu(II/III), Mn(II/III), Fe(II/III) with the ligands bpy-X = 2’,2’-bipyridine (X =H) e 2’,2’-bipyridinas with groups chlorine-, methyl-, nitro- e 4,7 diphenyl-, X = H2O, Cl as substituents by direct reaction, following the literature results will be done, as well as others complex will be synthesized during the project development. As results, the production of compounds with high action as insecticide and or fungicide and low action against the environment and the man. (AU)
