This dissertation aims to investigate the relationships between urban space, sociability and sensibilities, marked by a perception of (in) adaptation to urban space in contemporary times. The theme was based on analyzes of two Argentine films, El hombre de al lado, by Mariano Cohn and Gastón Duprat (2009), and Medianeras, by Gustavo Taretto (2011), whose theme is the difficulties of individuals in relating socially and from there they problematize the mismatch between these and the urban environment, synthesized in the approach of the construction of windows in the medianeras - attitudes considered, in the narratives, as illegal practices in the city. The work, starting from a Simmelian key, starts from an extensive bibliography and seeks to think about the hypermodern individual, and hypermodernity, as well as critical texts on Modern Architecture and, above all, Le Corbusier. It also analyzes two sets of sources: the films, discussing comparatively the approach of the theme in the two cinematographic works, paying attention to the sensibilities of the characters in contact with the architecture and their contexts of production; and the technical writings of planners and architects on the processes of densification of Buenos Aires, next to the legislation concerning medianeras. The central hypothesis is that the artistic languages are critically placed before the technical languages from the symptom of maladaptation of the hypermodern individual to modernist projects, discussing them as effective solutions to the questions of urban life (AU) | |
