The objective of this research is to analyze the feminist poetic in the works of Júlia Lopes de Almeida (1862-1934), a writer from Rio de Janeio who worked as novelist, chronicler, short story writer, journalist and lecturer, among other occupations. From the works A família Medeiros (1893), A viúva Simões (1897), A falência (1901), Ânsia eterna (1903), Eles e elas (1910), Cruel amor (1911), Correio da roça (1913), A Silveirinha (1914), "A mulher e a arte" (undated) and some other publications of the author in periodicals, I analyze not only the criticism of the literate to the patriarchal culture of her time, but the ways in which she creates and proposes others forms of existence for women in her writing. To this end, I present the thoughts of doctors and jurists who, since the nineteenth century, have shaped notions such as female natural inferiority, as well as I trace a dialogue between Julia and other feminists and writers of the time, critics of this scientific and Christian morality.
