Abstract

(EN) The present invention relates to a gastric electrostimulation device designed to induce the body to produce the hormones responsible for the feeling of fullness. The device acts primarily on the stomach, and the operating principle thereof is based on coupling electrical gastric activity with the hormonal responses of the central nervous system, helping to induce the feeling of fullness. The device comprises a central unit used to control and generate the signals required for sensing and stimulation of the gastric wall, and one or more implantable electrode cables for conveying the actuation and measurement signals.
