Danilo Bueno holds a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences (2016), a Master's degree in Applied Microbiology (2018), and a Ph.D. in Cellular, Molecular Biology and Microbiology (2022) from UNESP. He is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Faculty of Food Engineering of the State University of Campinas (FEA-UNICAMP), working in the field of Biotechnology with an emphasis on the production of oligosaccharides using recombinant enzymes. His research focuses on the production, functional characterization, and cytotoxicity evaluation of cello- and xylooligosaccharides generated by heterologously expressed enzymes. He has experience in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, and Enzymology, specializing in the production, purification, and application of microbial xylanases and cellulases (from filamentous fungi, yeasts, and bacteria), aiming at the valorization of agro-industrial residues and their conversion into high value-added derivatives. He also serves as an Ad-Hoc advisor for FAPESP, reviewer for international scientific journals, and editor for the Journal of Biosciences and Bioengineering and Current Biotechnology.
