He is currently a Fellow at the Department of Health Informatics at Escola Paulista de Medicina (EPM/UNIFESP). Since 2011 he has been a CNPq fellow researcher in Technological Development and Innovative Extension (DT). Post-doctorate in the field of biotelemetry and telemonitoring by the Teaching and Research Institute of Hospital Sírio-Libanês. Doctor in Computing and Computational Mathematics from USP. Specialist in health informatics from UNIFESP. He has an MBA in marketing from FUNDACE (FEA-RP/USP). He is a technician in industrial informatics from ETEP, a bachelor's degree in computer science from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) and a master's degree in engineering in the area of virtual simulation from USP. In 2001 he was a visiting researcher at the School of Optometry at Indiana University (USA). Between 2019 and 2021 he was a visiting professor in health data science and telemedicine at Escola Paulista de Medicina / UNIFESP. He worked five years in the R&D area of Opto Eletrônica S.A. and, subsequently, three years as a consultant for new technologies at T-Systems. In 2003, he founded Cientistas Desenvolvimento Tecnológico, a company focused on the development of computer systems that in 2009 was considered by Sebrae SP as one of the most innovative small companies in the state of São Paulo. In 2007, he founded XBot, the first mobile robotics company in the country for the areas of education, research and edutainment, which in 2011 was one of the winners of the national entrepreneurship award and in 2012 received the São Paulo State MPE Award for outstanding in good practices of social responsibility. He is an ad-hoc evaluator for CNPq, for the Foundation for the Support of Science and Technology of the State of Pernambuco (FACEPE), for the Foundation for Support for Research in the State of Bahia (FAPESB) and Scientific Advisor for the Mackenzie Research Fund. He has more than 100 publications between books, book chapters, magazines and international and national conferences in the areas of computing and engineering. He has eight patent applications and six trademark registrations. He coordinated around 15 technological projects funded by FINEP, CNPq, FAPESP and private companies in the last five years. He received several awards and honorable mentions, such as the Society of Automotive Engineer (SAE) Brasil 2001 - best article in the Projects category and best MBA student in Marketing at FUNDACE in 2006. In 2008 he was a finalist for the Entrepreneur of Success award promoted by the magazine PEGN and FGV. In 2009 he became an honorary professor at the Universidad Abierta Interamericana (Buenos Aires / ARG). In 2013, he won Grupo Algar's Alexandrino Garcia Award in the Entrepreneurship category for his work in the field of educational technology. In 2016 he received the ABSEG award from the Brazilian Association of Security Professionals. In 2019 he was the winner of the Police Technologies Contest (StartPol). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
