Dr. Helder Nakaya is a senior researcher at the Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein and a part-time professor at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of São Paulo (USP). Co-founder and chief scientific officer of the Brazilian startup D2DNA and the Danish startup Synamics Therapeutics. He is also an adjunct professor at Emory University in Atlanta, United States, and was vice-director of FCF-USP. Member of the Deliberative Council of the Brazilian Society of Immunology and the board of the Brazilian Association of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology. He was an affiliate member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences (ABC), a consultant to CEPI (Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations) and IUIS (International Union of Immunological Societies), and a member of the scientific advisory board of the European Ebola Vaccine Consortium and the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA).
