I have an undergraduate Psychology degree (Federal University of Pará, 1996), a master degree in Psychology - Behavioral Theory and Research (Federal University of Pará, 2000), and a PhD and (2004) and Post-doctorate level in Psychobiology (2009-2011, University of São Paulo). I am currently Professor of the department of Psychology (Uni-FACEF), and a researcher accredited by the Postgraduate Program in Psychobiology, Department of Psychology and Education - Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters of Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo. He is skilled in the areas of experimental psychology, psychobiology, Neuropsychopharmacology, with emphasis on the Neurobiology of Drug Abuse and systems and organs physiology, mainly in the following topics: Abstinence, Fear, Anxiety, Midbrain, GABA, glutamate, Benzodiazepines, Opioids , Stimulants, Depressants Central Nervous System, Electrophysiology, Psychopharmacology. Acts as reviewer of the journals Journal of Neurobiology, Brain Research, European Journal of Pharmacology, International Journal of Psychology, Life Sciences, Amino Acids, Pharmacological Reports, Neuroscience, Pharmacology, Biochemistry & Behavior and Developmental Psychobiology, among others.
