Richard Miskolci Full Professor of Sociology at the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP), a researcher at the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) and the President of the Working Group Digital Sociology of the International Sociological Association (ISA). He also serves as Associate Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Public Health at UNIFESP. Between 2014 and 2018, he was Associate Coordinator for Sociology at Brazils federal research agency, CAPES. Miskolci earned his PhD in Sociology from the University of São Paulo (USP) and has been a visiting scholar at the Universities of Chicago, Michigan, California, and the Complutense University of Madrid. He is a member of both the International Sociological Association and the Brazilian Sociological Society. His research explores the social and political impacts of digital technologies, particularly regarding public health, gender, and human rights. He founded the Digital Sociology Research Committee within the Brazilian Sociological Society and has published extensively on the topic. His current research focuses on health disinformation and digital inequalities in Latin America. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
