Carola Dobrigkeit Chinellato

I obtained a Bachelor's degree in Physics (1973) and a PhD in Physics from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (Unicamp) (1982). I worked as a post-doctor at the Physics Institute of the University of Heidelberg (1989-1990) and Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe (now Karlsruhe Institute of Technologie-KIT) in 1996. I have experience in Physics, with emphasis on the Physics of Elementary Particles and Fields, acting on the following subjects: cosmic rays, astroparticle physics with the Pierre Auger Observatory, and hadronic interactions induced by cosmic rays. I have worked at the Institute of Physics at Unicamp since 1974, where I am now a Full Professor. I was Deputy Director of the Institute (1998-2002) and responsible for the Directory (2002), Head of the Department of Cosmic Rays and Chronology (2003-2204), and Deputy Director for the Undergraduate School of Physics (1993-1996). I have been a member of the Pierre Auger Collaboration since 1994, acting as Chair of its Publication Committee since 2013. In Brazil, I was a member of the Scientific and Technical Council of the National Net for High Energy Physics (RENAFAE) from 2012 until 2014 and from 2015 to 2018. In 2022, I returned to the CRC of RENAFAE. I represent the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation in the Astroparticle Physics International Forum (APIF). I was a member of the Advisory Committee for Physics and Astronomy of CNPq (2015 to 2018). Since 2015, I have participated in the steering committee of FAPESP for the experiment LLAMA. I represent FAPESP ion Finance Boards of various experiments. In 2017, I received an award from UNICAMP for my contribution to undergraduate teaching. Since 2022, I have been a member of the Astroparticle Commission (C4) of the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP). Since the same year, I have participated in the Advisory Committee of the Southern Wide-field Gamma-ray Observatory (SWGO) project. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
