is an Associate Professor, under the RDIDP regime, in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the São Carlos School of Engineering (EESC-USP). She holds a Bachelor's degree (2001) and a Master's degree (2004) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of São Paulo (EESC-USP). She earned her Ph.D. (2009) in Mechanical Engineering from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium, with financial support from CAPES. In 2010, she was a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Mechanical Production Engineering at EESC-USP, supported by FAPESP. In 2018, she earned her Habilitation (Livre-Docência). She served as the Coordinator of the Mechatronics Engineering Undergraduate Program at EESC-USP for four years, was Chair of the Inclusion and Belonging Committee at EESC-USP for two years, and is currently the Coordinator of the Graduate Program Committee (CCP) in Mechanical Engineering at EESC-USP. Currently, she leads a FAPESP-funded project on bioinspired robotic systems and participates in a ROTA2030 project on electric vehicles. She is an Associate Editor for Expert Systems with Applications and Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence. Her experience lies in Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering, mainly focusing on the following areas: mechatronic product development, multiphysics simulation, control of robotic systems, optimization, and machine learning techniques.
