B.Sc. in Biological Sciences from Universidade de São Paulo (1993), M. Sc. in Ecology from Universidade de São Paulo (1997) and Ph.D. in Zoology from Universidade de São Paulo (2002). Was formerly an associate professor at the Institute of Marine Sciences (Labomar) from the Federal University of Ceara, where coordinated the BSc in Oceanography and the post-graduate courses in Tropical Marine Sciences. Currently is an associate professor at the Oceanographic Institute, University of São Paulo, and head of the Department of Biological Oceanography. Regional Coordinator of Coral Vivo Project Is a NAUI SCUBA diving and first aid Instructor. Has experience in Zoology, Marine Biogeography and Reef Ecology, conducting research on the following subjects: Ecology and Systematics of Ascidians, Reef Fish Ecology, Coral Reef Ecology, Biogeography and Systematics of Mollusca.
