He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from UFG (2002), a Master's degree in Control and Automation from Unicamp (2004), a PhD in Control and Automation from Unicamp (2009), and a PhD in Engineering from UNM/USA (2009). From July 2009 to February 2011, he was a research fellow at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Unicamp. He was Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering at UnB from 2018 to 2020. Currently, as an Associate Professor III at the Department of Electrical Engineering at UnB, he coordinates different research and development projects, working in the context of control systems with applications in the area of #8203;#8203;aerospace systems and space systems engineering. He is the creator and current coordinator of the Laboratory for Simulation and Control of Aerospace Systems (LODESTAR). He was one of the people responsible for the cooperation between UnB and the University of Wakayama (Japan) in the context of the UNIFORM microsatellite project, and also for the cooperation in the user segment with the University of Vigo (Spain) in the Humsat-D satellite mission launched in 2013. He is the coordinator of the first space mission financed by the Federal District Government, the AlfaCrux mission, for data collection. He has experience in robust control systems theory with applications in attitude determination and control of small satellites. He is the principal investigator of the first high-altitude experiment project of the University of Brasília, LAICAnSat. Certified by ANATEL as an Amateur Radio Station Operator, he is responsible for the ground segment of the AlfaCrux mission. He is the deputy coordinator of the first Laser Optical Station of the Glonass satellite navigation system in Latin America, located at the University of Brasília. He is a Technological Development and Innovative Extension Productivity Fellow (DT-2) and a Senior Member of IEEE, affiliated with the IEEE Aerospace and Electric Systems Society. From 2018 to 2020 he was a member of the Superior Council of the Technological Innovation Center/Technological Development Support Center of UnB, and from 2018 to 2022 he was a member of the Superior Council of the Foundation for Scientific and Technological Enterprises (FINATEC). He has served as a member of the Technical Assistance Committee of the Electroelectronic Sector of MCTIC, of #8203;#8203;the National Sectoral Technical Committee - Electroelectronics of SENAI, of UNOOSA Working Group 1 - Capacity Building and Institutional Strengthening in GNSS in Latin America, of the Brazilian Communications Commission 2 - Radiocommunications of ANATEL, of the Aerospace Commission of UnB, and of the Commission Expert Evaluators of the Research Executive Agency of the European Commission.
