A.A. Quivy graduated in 1986 and got his Master (1986) and PhD (1991) from Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB, Belgium). He is a Professor at the Institute of Physics of the University of São Paulo (IFUSP, Brazil) since 1992, was a visiting scientist at Center for Quantum Devices (CQD) of Northwestern University (NU, USA) in 2005 and 2006, and is an Associate Professor at IFUSP since 2012. His main research topics are molecular beam epitaxy (MBE), and morphological, structural, optical and electrical characterization of III-V compounds (mainly arsenides). Lately, he has been investigating the growth, processing and testing of infrared photodetectors and solar cells based on quantum dots. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
