Cleusa Ferri is a psychiatrist and epidemiologist, with a master's degree in Psychobiology and a PhD in Psychiatry from the Federal University of São Paulo (EPM-UNIFESP), and a master's degree in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine at the University of London (LSHTM). For 11 years (2002-2012), she worked in the Department of Health Services and population Research at the Institute of Psychiatry, King's College London. She is currently a professor in the post-graduate program of the Department of Psychiatry at Escola Paulista de Medicina (UNIFESP). She has national and international recognition as a researcher, especially in dementia. Her main areas of interest are: epidemiology and care provision towards the mental health of older people.
