Bismarck Luiz Silva

Graduated in Materials Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (2012), Master's (2013) and Doctorate (2016) in Materials Science and Engineering with an emphasis on metallurgy from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) in the Postgraduate Program Graduation in Materials Science and Engineering (PPGCEM). He is currently a professor at the Department of Materials Engineering (DEMat) at UFRN. At TEACHING, he works in the area of #8203;#8203;Engineering Education with a focus on active methodologies and the STEAM approach, and Inclusive Education focused on Assistive Technologies and the Engineering-Accessibility interface. At RESEARCH, he works in the areas of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering, mainly in phase transformation and characterization of metallic materials. He has experience in solidification and mechanical behavior of metals and alloys, especially for alloys based on Al, Zn and Sn (solder alloys and Thermal Interface Materials), in addition to studies focused on the wetting of metal/metal interfaces.
