Erika Carolina Romão Bonsaglia

Graduated in Biological Sciences from the State University of Northern Paraná - UENP-Bandeirantes/PR. Holds a Master's and Ph.D. in General and Applied Biology from UNESP-Botucatu/SP, with a concentration in Parasitology and Microbiology. During the Ph.D., completed a sandwich program at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), USA. Conducted technical training at the University of California - DAVIS (UCDAVIS), USA. Completed a post-doctoral fellowship at UNESP with a period of training at the University of Chile and another post-doctoral fellowship at the Institute of Microbiology and Medical Parasitology Research (IMPAM) at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), Argentina. Has extensive experience in Food Microbiology, Bacterial Biofilms, and Molecular and Epidemiological Characterization of pathogens associated with bovine mastitis and antimicrobial resistance.
