Post doctoral by McMaster University, Hamilton, Ca (1983) and by Observatoire Océanologique of Banyuls-sur-Mer, Laboratoire Arago, Fr (1994). Is Associate Professor III at Institute of Oceanography of São Paulo University (IOUSP) with researchs interests on the effects of physical and chemical oceanographic processes on the ecophysiology of phyto and bacterioplankton. More recently is also focusing biotechnology of microalgae. Curator of the Banco de Microrganismos Aidar & Kutner do IOUSP and member of the World Federation for Culture Collection. . Currently Supervisor of the Environmental Tecnology Service at the Institute of Energy and Environment of USP (IEEUSP). Vice- Coordinator of Graduate Studies in Environmental Science from IEE/USP (2008-2010), where guides on integrated resource management and biotechnology of microalgae biomass production for energy purposes. Ex-Representative of USP at State Council of Environment ?CONSEMA. During the course of the first doctorate year, were isolated ten strains of microalgae from wastewater. In the FAPESP/BEPE 2014/05195-7 process were obtained the total carbohydrates, and dry biomass productivity of three strains Chlorella sp., Scotiellopsis sp., and Desmodesmus sp..
