Giuseppe Palmisano is a Full Professor at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences of the University of São Paulo (USP) and a CNPq Research Productivity Fellow (Level 1D). He holds a Masters degree in Chemistry (2004) and a PhD in Medical Biochemistry and Biology (2008) from the Università degli Studi di Bari, with a doctoral research period at the University of Southern Denmark. He completed postdoctoral training at the University of Southern Denmark, Brigham and Womens Hospital/Harvard Medical School, and other international institutions. His expertise includes Biochemistry, Proteomics, and Glycobiology, with emphasis on post-translational modifications, cancer biology, and parasitology, particularly Chagas disease. His research focuses on advanced mass spectrometrybased analytical methods, biomarker discovery, and structural characterization of proteins. He is President of the Brazilian Proteomics Society (BRProt), serves on editorial boards of international journals, and acts as a reviewer for high-impact scientific publications. He has authored more than 130 articles, with over 4,300 citations (Web of Science) and an h-index of 37. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
