Graduated as Bachelor of Biological Science at the Universidade Federal de São Carlos in 1996. Obtained a master degree in Human Genetics in 1999 at the Georg-August Universität Göttingen-Germany and phD in Human Biology in 2006 at the Ludwig Maximilian Universität München-Germany, where she also spent a year as a post-doc fellow in the Clinical Cooperative Group Leukemia (CCG-Leukemia). She has experience in Tumor Biology, her research has been mainly focoused in the molecular mechanisms involved in tumorigenesis. She is currently a researcher at the Hematology and Hemotherapy Center of the State University of Campinas (Unicamp). Additionally, since november 2012 works as a representative of the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität international office in Brazil supporting university's international relations.
